1. What is your name & who are you?
“Hi, I’m Jonathan. I’m a 25 years old software developer”

2. So what did you actually sell?
“A web screenshot API & scraping API with AI called CaptureKit.”

3. Interesting, and how did you come up with the idea?
“I built something similar at my job and saw people paying for it. So I thought, why not make my own and sell it? Also saw some competitors making good money.”

4. How much money did you make with it?

• First week: $80 (Lifetime Deal)

• First month: $20 MRR

• Second month (when I sold): $130 MRR

5. What were your startup costs, if any?
“Costs were $5/month for servers.”

6. For how much did you sell CaptureKit?
“Straight $15,000.”

7. How did you market the tool?
“Through organic SEO, blog posts, how-tos, free tools. Also listed on websites and posted on Reddit and LinkedIn.”

8. What was your profit margin like?
“95%”

9. How much time per day/week were you working on it?
“Around 0–3 hours a day.”

10. Did you use any paid tools, or was it all free stuff?
“I paid for Railway (to host the server).”

11. What’s your background? Like tech, business, or just a normal human?
“I'm a software developer working full time in a company.”

12. Biggest mistake you made?
“Accidentally gave AWS Lambda way too many resources. Cost me $250 in one day 😅”

13. One thing that worked better than expected?
“SEO SEO SEO”

14. If you had to start again with $0, what would you do?
“Focus on content from day 1. Search for validated ideas, products that already prove to make money.”

15. Any advice for someone trying to copy your success?
“Keep going.
Do research before building stuff.
See if it's valuable. Get early feedback from users.”

16. Can people follow or reach you somewhere?
“LinkedIn & Twitter/X”

“I built and sold LectureKit for $7,000. It’s a platform where educators can build and sell online courses.”
